Senator Dimaro Denyanbofa, who represents the Bayelsa State Government on the NDDC Board, holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Education from Rivers State University of Science and Technology and a Master's in Education Psychology, Guidance and counseling from the University of Port Harcourt.
He hails from Peretorugbene in Ekeremor Local Government Area of Bayelsa State, Senator Denyanbofa embodies the true spirit of service and development for Bayelsa, and the Niger Delta.
Elder Denyanbofa won election to the Senate in 1998 to represent Bayelsa West Senatorial zone and was one of champions of the policy for the creation of the NDDC.
He has over thirty-five years in high-level management and public administration including as the Executive Chairman of Ekeremor Local Government in the 1990s. He was honoured as the best LGA Chairman in 1992.
Elder Denyanbofa was also a Special Advisor on the NDDC and Niger Delta Affairs.
His passionate advocacy and leadership in groups like the Ijaw Youths Action League helped pave the way for creating the NDDC and the Niger Delta Amnesty Programme. He was in 2003 appointed Special Advisor on State Capital Development to the Bayelsa State Government
